COURSE CONTENT

WORKSHOPS

Throughout your snowboard holiday there will be 4 on snow coaching sessions and 4 off snow workshops to help you understand the fundamentals of snowboarding. This includes technique for off-piste performance (powder, variable, bumps, avalanche terrain). You'll learn how to control your speed and choose your line for varying conditions, as well as getting to know the fundamentals of mountain safety and avalanche awareness.

READY2RIDE

Pre-holiday: Learn how to prepare your body for snowboarding from our Ready2Ride Body Preparation guidebook. You'll also receive a mindset questionnaire, and a complete board equipment guide and checklist.

On holiday: There are 4 workshops during your week, these include video analysis sessions, workshops on avalanche transceiver awareness training, and a mindset workshop to help you overcome any barriers.

ALL TERRAIN, ALL CONDITIONS

In order to ride fast in off-piste, deep, bumpy and variable conditions we'll start with some general on-piste touch ups. You'll learn about balance & stacking and how to master the art of turning with varying shapes, sizes and speed.

To safely navigate off-piste, a certain amount of knowledge and education is required, so we start off checking levels by riding between the pistes, and then venture further afield searching for fresh lines.

Off-piste you'll learn how to ride with consistency and speed in difficult conditions. You'll understand what adjustments to make when faced with different snow densities to avoid falling. You'll understand the best routes to take off-piste and learn how to get yourself up and avoid terrain traps.

As well as mastering correct technique you'll learn how to stay safe on the mountain. From understanding meteorological behaviour to learning how to use a transceiver – we will do mock avalanche scenarios that require you to use an avalanche kit.

  • UNDERSTAND YOUR LINE

This course will improve your off-piste technique, enabling you to safely ride different terrain and varying snow conditions. You'll learn about mountain safety and avalanche awareness so that you can master the mountain!
